A Christmas Present
Our new puppy, Specter, was rescued on Janet's birthday, just
before Christmas. Someone had abandoned him at the stables, and he had been
surviving there for some time. When he came home to us, he was skin and bones.
Now he is a chubby, happy, playful pup!

We made our first trip to Disneyland
in the 21st Century on 01 01 01. That's right, we arrived
on New Years Day. I picked Joyce up from her dad, and we drove to the airport
and flew down that afternoon. We were in the park by dusk. (MORE)

Greetings from Disney California Adventure & Disneyland
We made another trip for Mothers Day, and saw the new
park for the first time.
July
An opportunity of a lifetime ... a chance to attend the Webby
Awards in San Francisco
(alot of pictures, so have patience).
August
Is it a country inn in Normandy? Is that the Red Baron I spy
in the background? No, it's the 94th Aerosquadron Restaurant at the San Jose
Airport. (click picture to enlarge) Had lunch here a couple times with family
and with old high school friends. Lots of atmosphere, good food, and it's fun to
watch the planes fly in!

We went to Downtown San Jose to the Tech Museum on Labor Day,
after the parade was over, and were suddenly halted by another kind of parade
... the tanks were heading back to the armory, right down Almaden and Park, in
front of the Adobe building.

The girls' birthday was spent in Florida
... a dream of a lifetime fulfilled.
(alot of pictures, so have patience).
Two days after they returned from Florida, they both had a Bat
Mitzvah.
Then, a few days later, our congregational leader had his
50th birthday, which we, of course, had to celebrate!
(I baked the cake.)
For Halloween, the ladies trick-or-treated around Ana's
office, dressed as
the Sorcerer's Apprentice and the Magical Broom!
November
Just before Thanksgiving Joyce had a tonsillectomy. It was
rough for the first few days, but she was able to have mashed potatoes and gravy
for Thanksgiving Dinner.
December
Chanukah and Christmas were both celebrated. At this time of
year, we thank the Lord for the blessings he heaps upon us. We hope that the
season found you equally blessed!
For Janet's birthday we had dinner up on Mt. Hamilton at the
Grandview, where we had a grand view of the valley at night. Here we are sitting
in front of the fireplace in the bar, and standing in front of the ... grand
view (of course). What a lovely way to end the year.
