Beautiful foliage.
On the Quicksilver Express roller coaster, there were some adorable miners who were warning us not to go on the ride!
It's a little hard to tell, but the leaves on this tree were pink and green ... amazing!
In her teens, Ana used to hike with her friends in the Quicksilver mines of New Almaden. This is some of the history of that area.
More historical info.
The mining ceased in 1970, so the hike could go on later that decade.
This coral bougainvillea was amazingly brilliant.
Ana was hoping this was a butterfly garden, but it wasn't. But it was still beautiful.
