While Joyce was in Hawaii with her Dad, Ana won a weekend in Monterey for the Fourth from her radio station.  She had to sing the Star Spangled Banner on the radio, and know more words, and sing better than the other contestants.  One DJ wanted the others to win because they were "entertaining" in their performances -- like a bad American Idol episode!
