San Jose's Auto Show

This year's auto show was highlighting some of the great oldies, starting with the "goat," the Pontiac GTO.
We took just a few pictures here. They all had tigers in or on them. In one case, there was a tiger hiding in the trunk.
Convertibles, hard-tops, well-restored, and just the average Joe's. They were all represented. There was even one there that was called "The Judge."

After the GTOs they had a display of the Datsun Z's.  240s, 260s, 280s. And upstairs, the new 350Z. They also had a specialized truck, a Mazda racer, and a Razor.

One of the sales areas downstairs had a Mercedes race car, and a model dressed in a crazy checkered flag skirt and bodice. Other German cars there were a Maybach, an Audi, and a new Beetle convertible.  Our friends from KRTY were there also, signing people up for concert tickets.  They gave Ana a shout out on the radio too!

In the exotic car section, there were two Bentleys - a sedan and a sportster, and four Jaguars, one of which was a station wagon! Of all things! There was also a Lotus, and a couple of Lamborghinis. Among the luxury cars, they had a beautiful Lexus convertible, some Lincolns, and a pretty Grand Marquis.

In the American car section, we saw some great looking Jeeps.

Dodge had a Maghum, a Neon, a Viper, and Chrysler had a concept gull-wing 300.

More concept cars were the Copperhead, the LSX, the Citadel ...
  ... and the Sidewinder.
GM cars there were the new Cobalt, the G6, the Cadillac XLR, and a "green" hybrid truck with suicide doors. They also have a new roadster truck, the SSR, for 2005.

Ford had the new Mustang and Thunderbird. Joyce liked the Ranger and wants it to be her first vehicle when she gets her license. They also had a GT that can go from 0 to 60 in 3-something seconds.  Wow!

Ford's concept cars were the Model U, the EX, the 427 and the 49, which has a T-Bird engine. A celebrity who was there signing autographs was Eddy Paul of the Fast/Furious movies.  Here was one of his movie bikes. Joyce also got his autograph.

Last but not least, we saw a Panoz, which was interesting because the day before we went to the car show, the Los Gatos Auto Mall building blew up! We said this was one of the survivors, probably because it was here already.
