AprilBy April the girls were well into tech rehearsals for Fiddler on the Roof. Ana was astonished and honored that she was chosen to be on headsets as "deck lead" on stage right! Joyce joined her there, and they kept the sets and props moving with two other folks (most of the time) throughout the show. At the end of the run of the show, they took a ton of pictures at the cast party. They saw another show, The Scarlet Pimpernel, this time at Joyce's school, with two more fellow thespians, one of Joyce's schoolmates, and Dorothy from their days in Wizard of Oz! Small world, that we get to see her again after three-plus years! Passover week stretched from Monday to Sunday (Easter Sunday this year). Nana had her first-night seder (the seder table at right), and then Ana sang with the musical worship team at the congregation's seder. During Joyce's Spring break from school, the gals went to Disney country. They flew out right after the congregational seder, right after Joyce put away the last prop for the Fiddler performance, and they spent three days at The Land, The Adventure, and The Mall! JuneJune is the end of school, and the beginning of summer activities. Ana & Joyce spent half a Friday with the HP Choir's final performance for the season, and then went to see the Art Deco exhibit in San Francisco at the Legion of Honor. After that was a fun dinner at the Beach Chalet restaurant, and a walk thru one of the gardens in Golden Gate Park. What a Lovely California Day!! |
