APRIL
We attended Passover Seders on the first and second nights. We went to a small home seder, then attended the big Congregational Seder on 2nd night - and it really was big! This one had record-breaking (for us) attendance.

Then, we went South again for Spring Break. We visited the Land of the Mouse, and met a couple new friends along the way! See the pictures.

Shows we've seen with friends: our theater (where Ana is on the Board and Joyce feels it's her second home) opened Into The Woods, and of course we had to be there on Opening Night.

  MAY
After weeks of rehearsals Ana finally opened in To Kill A Mockingbird. Here were photos from a dress rehearsal performance.  Several shows were sold out, and they even got a few standing ovations! What a wonderful cast, and an experience of a lifetime.

Joyce attended her Senior Prom at school.  Here she is in her beautiful gown. She went to the dance with several of her friends and had a wonderful time! [See them all.]

On Mothers Day, Ana had a performance, and Joyce had to work, so they were both busy and away from each other. But true to a 2-year tradition, after bows for her own show Ana helped with striking the set for the show that closed at SCP, Into the Woods, and Joyce joined the cast party after work.

Ana moved cubicles again at work, hopefully for the last time for a couple years. Agony!!

Memorial Day weekend was closing performances for Ana, so the gals stayed in town for the holidays. Because several people were out of town at Congregation, Ana was scheduled to sing already, so she was asked to lead liturgy and read Torah in Hebrew as well.  Busy busy day at Temple!!

Movies they've seen with or by friends:  Shrek the Third, which their friend Dan has worked on all three; they also went to see Pirates III on opening night - Joyce saw it twice in a row!  No plays, since Ana was in her own!

  JUNE
The HP Choir concerts began in June. Ana sang a special, solo, again this season. For this series of concerts, the theme was Music About Music.  So of course she had to sing "Music of the Night" from Phantom, in it's original tenor range.  Everyone marvelled that she could hit the low A's at the beginning of the song! But of course, she's a "natural tenor!!"

Senior Beach Day at school took us to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This never gets old, and the latest exhibit is fresh-water Asian and African otters. Makes you want to take them home with you. Here are the pictures.

And of course, June means school's out, and for Joyce, it means ... ta-dah ... graduation! Turns out it was the hottest day of the year so far, and the festivities were going on outside.  But we braved the heat, and had a wonderful celebration. See the pictures.

Shows we've seen with or featuring friends: Thunderbabe, about a superheroine turned soccer-mom who has to come out of retirement to save the world - our "son/brother" Aaron is in it; Thoroughly Modern Millie which has several of our friends in it; All Shook Up, a fun musical story featuring a bunch of Elvis songs - gotta love it, thankyouverymuch! And while Joyce was spending summer break with her Dad, Ana saw Wonderful Town and Odd Couple, both of which featured many of their theater "family" and friends.
